Loss Entry

Claims support personnel enter the initial loss. This detail can be complete or as sparse as you require. Default options are set by your management to control the maximum or minimum amount of detail necessary to accept the initial loss.

The entry process for the initial loss entry can record such standard items as Insured and Agent name and address, policy detail, loss location, loss date, description of loss and names of personnel associated with the loss.

Unlimited names and addresses of personnel involved in a claim can be entered into this initial loss record. Each name entry can record the category of person (insured, driver, renter, witness etc.) the address, the loss or injury description, birth dates (or ages) and driver information. These details may be entered here and changed later.

Each loss record can record extensive policy detail such as dates and coverage. The three types of losses supported (Auto, Property and General Liability) will record limits and deductibles by coverage type.

The set up of the initial loss includes the assignment of the adjuster and manager, the claim number, initial diary and if so desired you may enter the file status notes at this time.
